What is the history of Clos des Vins d'Amour?

Le Clos des Vins d'Amour, nestled in the heart of Maury in the Roussillon region, is a family-run Winery that embodies the harmony of passion and tradition. Created by Denis Grébul and his family, this 25-hectare vineyard extends over a variety of terroirs, mostly composed of schist and limestone soils. The origin of the name "Clos des Vins d'Amour" reflects both the family's attachment to the work of the vine and their love for the exceptional Maury terroir. Over the years, Winery has reinvented itself, growing from modest production to over 70,000 bottles a year. Despite this evolution, Clos des Vins d' Amour remains faithful to environmentally-friendly viticultural methods, aiming to capture the very essence of Roussillon in every bottle. Winery is also committed to organic practices, consolidating its position as one of the region's modern, responsible producers.

Which grape varieties are grown at Clos des Vins d'Amour?

Clos des Vins d' Amour is best known for its Grenache (black, white and gray), the emblematic grape variety of the Maury terroir. Grenache noir, particularly well-suited to the region's semi-arid climate, produces powerful wines, rich in aromas of ripe red fruit and spicy notes. Grenache blanc and Grenache gris bring freshness and finesse to the white wines of Winery, with mineral and floral notes. In addition to Grenache, Winery also cultivates grape varieties such as Syrah and Mourvèdre, which enrich the aromatic palette of red wines, giving them structure and complexity. Thanks to the diversity of terroirs and vines aged between 75 and 110 years, Clos des Vins d' Amour wines perfectly express the typical Roussillon character, while revealing great elegance and ageing potential.
