Winery des Albatros: a wine nugget in the heart of Savoie

Nestled in Chignin, in the heart of wine-growing Savoie, Winery des Albatros embodies the perfect union of tradition and modernity. Founded in 2023 by Julien Cartier, this 2.5-hectare Winery is the fruit of a family passion for vines that has been passed down for over 70 years.
After traveling the world, Julien returned to his roots to cultivate six grape varieties emblematic of the region: Jacquère, Altesse, Roussanne, Petite Arvine, Gamay and Mondeuse. Each parcel is carefully cultivated using an organic (in conversion) and biodynamic approach, in order to preserve the authenticity of the Savoyard terroir.

Making natural wines

Julien Cartier's objective is the same one that has driven us for many years: to produce wines that are alive, without artifice, that faithfully reflect the energy of their soil and the craftsmanship that shapes them.

The name "Albatros" is by no means insignificant. It evokes travel and freedom, a tribute to the horizons we've travelled before returning to the essentials: the vine, the terroir, and emotional winemaking.

Each bottle of Winery des Albatros is an invitation to discovery, between finesse, minerality and depth.
