We're talking to you about his Winery
At the age of 14, Elian Da Ros was already dreaming of becoming winemaker. His different experiences during his studies, in Burgundy with Jacky Clerget, in Montpellier with Laurent Vaillé (Winery de la Grange des Pères), and especially in Alsace with Léonard Humbrecht (Winery Zind-Humbrecht) confirm his desire to make his own wine and to carry his passion to the end. Back home, and with the help of Mathieu Cosse, the new oenologist of the cooperative cellar, he experimented with his first vintage in 1998. |
From the 7 hectares of the family Winery , he now manages some 22 hectares, all under organic cultivation since 2000 and biodynamic cultivation since 2003. The vineyard is divided into 4 distinct islets on gravel and clayey-limestone soils. Moreover, each parcel and each Grape variety is vinified separately, in cement vats and then in barrels. The reds represent the majority of theGrape varieties (merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, abouriou, malbec and syrah). The whites only 2.50 havec sémillon, sauvignon blanc and sauvignon gris. |
