We tell you about their domains
Zampaglione Vini embodies an artisanal and committed viticulture, rooted in family traditions and led by Guido and Igiea Zampaglione, accompanied by a team of enthusiasts. The Winery spans three unique Italian terroirs: Monferrato (Piedmont), Alta Irpinia (Campania) and Tigullio (Liguria). These terroirs, sometimes referred to as "marginal agriculture" due to modest production volumes, are not only essential to sustaining traditional values, but above all offer remarkable potential. The wines they produce are lively, sincere and deeply rooted in their terroir of origin. The Winery 's philosophy is based on organic viticulture, natural practices and constant attention to the vines. Zero chemicals, zero cheating, 100% authenticity! It's an approach that requires regular and demanding work, but one that is necessary to realize the dream of creating a community that shares the values of sustainability, the transmission of traditions and respect for nature. Monferrato (Piedmont) - Tenuta GrilloIn Piedmont, at Winery Tenuta Grillo, the hills are home to autochthonous grape varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto and Freisa, as well as Cortese and Sauvignon Blanc. Some are vinified by pellicular maceration, giving rise to superb natural orange wines with immense ageing potential. Upper Irpinia (Campania) - Il TufielloIn Campania's Upper Irpinia region, Winery Il Tufiello cultivates Grape variety Fiano at an altitude of over 800 meters. The contrasting climate - warm days, cool nights - forges complex, structured Fiano-based orange wines with great ageing potential. |
Liguria - San Lorenzo della CostaIn Liguria, the San Lorenzo della Costa vineyard on the Tigullio Gulf enjoys a maritime climate. The wines here are saline, fresh and vibrant: true living Mediterranean wines, with iodine accents. Everywhere, the same philosophy: a range of wines crafted with minimal intervention to highlight the unique characteristics of each terroir. Wines include reds like Barbera and Dolcetto from Monferrato, orange wines from Fiano in Alta Irpinia, and new creations from Tigullio. Each cuvée reflects the care given to the vines, the identity of the place, and the personality of the Winemakers:: Guido Zampaglionea Neapolitan winemaker trained in oenology, and Igiea Zampaglionean agricultural historian who also produces organic rice on the Baraggia plain. Together, they demonstrate that so-called marginal agriculture can produce exceptional wines, as long as you give it attention, patience and a good dose of passion! |
