Passionate about ampelography (the science and history of the vine), Bernard Plageoles now boasts over 23 hectares of vineyards in Gaillac (west of Albi) planted exclusively with grape varieties forgotten or lost through decades of profit-oriented agriculture. To the point of having set up a real conservatory of these grape varieties, such as braucol, prunelard, mauzac vert, ondenc... | It is therefore a real experience to taste these wines, especially as Winery makes wine from wines abandoned by the local winemakers themselves! And in Biodynamics, please!! Vin de voile, effervescent brut nature.... elaborated according to the "Cousinié" method sensitive to the balance between the nutrition of the vine & the environment. Pruned in goblet as in the past, the 16 ha of whites and the 3 of reds are free of chemical fertilizers and other inputs. |
