| Overlooking the Loire, in the Savennières-Roche aux Moines appellation, Winery is run by Tessa Laroche, who, after experiences at Deutz, as cellar master in Provence and as head of the cooperative cellar in Bourgueil, creates beautiful, precise vintages, refined on the palate, with incredible length! The various vintages offered, which is rare, smell of Nature. The chenin vines surround the beautiful maison , on blue schist, rhyolite and phtanite, restoring the heat accumulated during the day at night... The perfect exposure brings beautiful maturities without however seeking the famous botrytis responsible for the sugars of the neighbouring Côteaux du Layon and Bonnezeaux. | The whole breathes softness and harmony. Respect for the peasant traditions, for the environment that surrounds them, and of course for the soils and their vines aged from 25 to 80 years old. Hand-picking with several sorting to keep only the healthiest grapes (maximum yield of 30 hl/ha), modern equipment, pneumatic press and impeccable sanitary state in the cellar, ageing of 25% of the production in wood of several wines, the bottles can thus age up to 30 years. With Virginie Joly, Evelyne de Pontbriand and Tessa Laroche, the revival of Savennières also comes through women! |
