The wines of Winery Antoine Lienhardt

A Family Story

Following Maurice Guyot, his grandfather, Antoine Lienhardt took over the family Winery in 2011, he is the 4th generation of winemakers in the family.

The Winery is located in the Côtes-de-Nuits, in Comblanchien, spread over a little more than 5 ha in the Burgundy, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Côtes-de-Nuits-Villages appellations. His sister, Héloïse, joined him in the adventure in 2017 to support him and take care of, among other things, the commercial and administrative part of Winery.

A desire to be as close as possible to the living world

After taking over Winery in 2011, Antoine discovered the world of natural wines through several tastings, he then decided to orientate Winery in this direction.

The Winery thus obtains the organic certification in 2018. Antoine also applies some biodynamic practice by respecting the lunar cycles for outdoor and cellar work.
Little by little he has excluded all synthetic products in his treatments.
In order to improve biodiversity, Antoine replants 5 to 10 trees per year in the plots and in the orchards.

The harvest is of course manual and all the wines are made from whole grapes. The vinification is done in stainless steel vats and without inputs.
For the maturation, the wines are put down by gravity into barrels, another part of the wines is matured in concrete eggs and stoneware jars.
Antoine allows himself a light sulfiting at the bottling stage.

Antoine has set up a small business of "haute couture" for a few years, in very small quantities on beautiful Burgundy appellation (Gevrey Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Meursault) as well as a Gamay cuvée in Fixin.
Recently, he also buys organic grapes from the Rhone Valley for the elaboration of his summer rosé cuvées.

A favorite Petites Caves

We met Antoine at a wine fair in the Loir et Cher during the winter of 2021/ 2022, and we immediately fell in love with his wines. We then went to see him in Comblanchien and shared a very good moment, between tasting and frank conversations. This visit confirmed our first impressions; the wines of Winery are superb, very accessible, with a lot of finesse and substance!
Airy, lacy juices, with bright fruit.
