Pouce-Pied: A Natural Winegrowing Adventure in the Cher Valley

Corentin Allot and Sébastien Lincy, two friends from Brittany, left the sea to settle in the vineyards of the Cher Valley. Their passion for natural wine, born during their first grape harvest in 2010 at Hervé Villemade's vineyard in Cheverny, led them to follow a course in viticulture at the Lycée agricole d'Amboise.

After rewarding experiences in several renowned estatesWinery Léonine - Jeff Coutelou - Julien Pineau - Noëlla Morantin - Vincent Carème - Thierry Puzelat - Hervé Villemade, ...), they founded Pouce-Pied in 2023.
Their winery, located in Châteauvieux (Loir-et-Cher), is surrounded by clay and stony terroirs with limestone subsoils.

Le Winery

Their Winery now covers 3 hectares divided into 6 parcels, growing Sauvignon, Cabernet, Gamay, Chenin and Orbois. The vines are located in four communes along the Cher Valley, with the aim of gradually extending their plots around the winery.

Their philosophy

They vinify naturally, without yeasting, fining or filtration, using few or no inputs. White wines are aged in barrels ranging from 220 to 600 liters, while reds are matured in barrels or metal vats, with short macerations and slow pressing of whole bunches. Their approach aims to produce wines that are lively, expressive and representative of their terroir.

Their First Cuvées

For the 2023 vintage, Pouce-Pied is presenting five cuvées made from their own grapes and from grapes purchased from winegrower friends who share their values. A promising adventure for this young Winery.

Their commitments

Anchored in a viticulture that respects the environment, they cultivate their vines organically and work together to make the most of their respective experiences. Their aim is to improve their wines vintage after vintage, while remaining professional to present flawless cuvées.
