What is the history of Winery de Malavieille?

Winery de Malavieille, located in the heart of the Languedoc region, is a Winery vineyard renowned for its environmentally-friendly practices and commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. Nestled in the volcanic hills of Larzac, Winery benefits from a unique terroir that enables the production of expressive, authentic wines. For several generations, the Berdaguer family has passionately managed this vineyard, while preserving the local ecosystem.

Since the 1980s, Winery has focused on organic, and then biodynamic, farming, in order to respect the natural cycles and biodiversity of the soil. The eco-responsible approach of the winegrowers at Winery de Malavieille has enriched the quality of their wines, while actively contributing to the preservation of the environment. Thanks to this approach, Winery is now certified Organic and Biodynamic (Demeter), making it a model for other vineyards in the region.

Winery de Malavieille offers a wide range of wines, from deep, full-bodied reds to lively, mineral whites and elegant rosés. Each cuvée reflects the typicity of its terroir of origin, highlighting the volcanic richness of Languedoc soils.

Which grape varieties are grown at Winery de Malavieille?

Winery de Malavieille grows a variety of typical Languedoc grape varieties, adapted to the region's Mediterranean climate and volcanic soils. Among the most emblematic grape varieties are :

  • Syrah: This powerful, aromatic Grape variety is at the heart of the red wines of Winery. It brings aromas of black fruits, pepper and spices, as well as a fine tannic structure, ideal for ageing wines.

  • Grenache: Grown in the sunniest plots, Grenache is known for its generous red fruit aromas and roundness on the palate. It is used in the reds and rosés of Winery.
