From the outset, Elodie Balme has opted for vinification without artificial yeasts or acidification. Her wines are produced with respect for nature, with a hands-off approach that allows the grapes to express themselves fully. By 2006, she was producing her first cuvées and rapidly making a name for herself in the wine world. This heritage, enriched by training in viticulture-oenology and experience at Winery Marcel Richaud in Cairanne, is at the root of her success.

Elodie Balme's Winery vineyard now covers 28 hectares, an evolution marked by family history. Initially, her father gave her 6 hectares of conventionally farmed vines. Determined to follow a more environmentally-friendly path, Elodie quickly made changes: eliminating chemical fertilizers, working the soil, and using organic products. These new methods give her wines a strong identity, which is winning over a growing public.

"I like to feel life in my wines," says Elodie. For her, respect for nature and terroir is essential. She insists on the balance between power and elegance, always seeking to create wines that bring pleasure and emotion. "I don't know if I make 'feminine' wines, but what I'm looking for above all is finesse and elegance," she confides.
