| Not surprisingly, Jules, the son ofYvon Métras, winemaker gifted Beaujolais wine producer, has in turn set up shop as winemaker in the Beaujolais region. 2014 was his first vintage. After travelling around the world for a while, Jules came back home, on the one hand to work Yvon's vines, and on the other hand to look after a few rented vines and make his first wine making experiences. | He has also cleared 1 ha of vines in front of his father's house and the result is there, damn it can't lie! Jules takes up Yvon's good recipes, i.e. harvesting quite late + carbonic maceration. Density and minerality are the characteristics of his wines, bravo Jules! Another fine example of this new generation of natural winegrowers in Beaujolais. |
