We're telling you about their Winery
The Winery of ASTRÉ was born in 2017 when Aude Duval and Sylvain Ohayon took over the lease of organic vines in 2012. This Winery is composed of 8ha of which 1.7ha of Semillon. The rest of the vines are essentially composed of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are globally 80m above the Dordogne Valley, just protected by a forest. Winery is located in the Bergerac appellation (Périgord Pourpre) and could also claim the Montravel appellation. In fact the wines are released in Vin de France. Before arriving at Winery in 2017, Sylvain Ohayon was in charge of operations in the Médoc and Aude Duval cellarist in Libourne. Their paths crossed in the Argentinean wine-growing lands at the foot of the Andes Cordillera. Originally from the Bordeaux region and Corrèze, they had set off to discover wines from elsewhere. | The ASTRÉ's Winery is the fruit of this meeting and this shared passion. The choice of Aude and Sylvain is to further accentuate their organic orientation by putting little by little a biodynamic approach. While waiting for this certification, the wines are already vinified as naturally as possible: indigenous yeasts, very little handling during the harvest, and matured in old used barrels. Petitescaves is pleased to present you a few bottles from the 2018 vintage onwards. Long and beautiful road to Aude and Sylvain (Winery de l'ASTRÉ). |
