Who is Maxime Magnon?
Maxime Magnon: winemaker in the heart of CorbièresMaxime Magnon is one of the winegrowers who has restored the reputation of the once-discredited Corbières appellation, with wines that are bursting with freshness, fruit, balance and minerality. Alongside winemakers such as Xavier Ledogar and Magali Terrier, he is helping to give this southern French wine region a new reputation. Maxime Magnon, originally from Burgundy, decided in 2002 to settle in the Corbières region, in Villeneuve-les-Corbières to be precise, and to devote himself body and soul to his work. Before settling in this region, he worked with renowned figures in natural wine, such as Philippe Valette and Thierry Allemand, acquiring exceptional know-how. His illustrious neighbor, Didier Barral, was to become a true source of inspiration, particularly when it came to reintroducing animals into the vineyards in order to respect the natural ecosystem as much as possible. Maxime Magnon: A visionary in the Corbières winemakerMaxime Magnon embodies a new generation of winemakers deeply committed to an ecological and sustainable approach. His unique approach, based on a synergy between man, animals and nature, produces authentic wines that fully express the Corbières terroir. With his natural winemaking methods, minimal use of sulfur and rigorous vineyard management, Maxime Magnon has established himself as a benchmark in the region. His wines, sometimes powerful, sometimes elegant, reflect his commitment to purity and balance. Today, they are recognized for their finesse and their ability to reinvent the wine-making traditions of the Corbières.

Maxime Magnon's Winery : 14 hectares of natural purityMaxime Magnon's 14-hectare vineyard is worked entirely by hand and with a caterpillar, showing total respect for the soil. No pesticides or insecticides are used, an approach that promotes biodiversity and preserves the vitality of the land. During the winter period, from November to mid-April, a herd of sheep, donkeys and cows graze freely in the vineyards. These animals play a crucial role in maintaining the soil's microbial life, naturally fertilizing it. This method, which is part of a biodynamic philosophy, helps to breathe new life into land that has often been badly damaged by intensive farming. Thank you for your confidence in nature, Maxime! The emblematic grape varieties of Winery Maxime MagnonMaxime Magnon works with a selection of grape varieties emblematic of the region, each bringing a strong identity to his wines.
