Pecoranera 2005 - Monferrato DOC - Tenuta Grillo
Pecoranera is the wine we never thought we'd be able to make, and it has challenged some of our beliefs about blending different grape varieties. Hence its name ("Mouton noir")."
A wine of great complexity, dominated by a Grape variety closely related to Nebbiolo. The 2005 is a nervous, fresh wine, with ripe but still present tannins. It's still got a lot going for it and can still evolve!
Production: approx. 15,000 bottles
Age of vines: 30 years
Aging potential: 20 years and more
Serving temperature: 15°.
