Maury Grenat 2022 de La Petite Baigneuse de Philippe Wies.
Far from traditional Maury wines that are heavy and overly sweet, hiding their flaws, Philippe Weis' muté wine is ... grandiose.
Suave and lively, the sugar in no way detracts from the vinous identity of this cuvée. Plums and red fruits in syrup, bramble wood, sweet spices and acidity characterize this VDN. That sweet touch just on the finish reminds us that this is a Maury, and our brains say a p.... de MAURY!!!!
No sulfites added, 5% alcohol added (mutage).
The overused foie gras and parsley pasta will do, but try it with duck à l'orange or beef tomaté au piment de Cayenne...
