The Roussillon vineyard is a tormented territory, located in a single department (the Pyrénées Orientales), made up of mountains of schist, granite plunging into the sea and plains of alluvial deposits with stony soil. The weather conditions favour resistant grape varieties with a strong character. This results in natural, powerful and tannic red wines. The whites are full of sunshine. A new generation of natural winegrowers, ready to fight against drought and erosion, brings a fresher vision to the wines of Roussillon.

Natural wines of Roussillon
The wine region of Roussillon is located in the department of Pyrénées Orientales. On a rugged territory surrounded by mountains, plains and the sea, passionate winegrowers offer healthy wines that represent well the terroir of Roussillon. The powerful winds and the almost permanent sunshine favour resistant grape varieties with a strong character. For example in red, Carignan, Grenache noir, Iledener Pelut, Mourvèdre give powerful and tannic natural wines. The white wines, made from Grenache, Maccabeu and Vermentino, are full of sunshine.
