La Porte Saint-Jean 2022 - Saumur-Champigny red - Sylvain Dittière
We're definitely on ripe red fruit notes such as cherries and wild strawberries, while the nose and palate evolve towards fine floral notes (hints of peonies) and white pepper.
Aged for 18 months (in barrels several years old), this wine's fine, elegant structure is a perfect match for this 40-year-old Cabernet Franc. Great, beautiful finish, clean, crisp, almost gourmand. This wine can be decanted when young or kept for some time.
