We're talking to you about his Winery
Benjamin Taillandier is a brave, hard-working, and very jovial guy. The wines he makes in Villeneuve-Minervois are in his image, generous, cheerful, fruity, full of life and envy. Wines that can be shared, that call out to friends, to good times. For him, as for all the winegrowers we love, work is above all about winegrowing. Healthy soils, healthy grapes. The son of a "general practitioner-acupuncturist" doctor, Benjamin Taillandier, does not initially have any particular connection with the wine world. It is probably because of the taste of the product, of the good product that he is seduced. By tasting the wines of Maxime Magnon, Jo Landron, etc... the idea taps him. BTS of Viti-Oeno in 2002, Bachelor of Law and Management in 2003, Benjamin Taillandier then leaves to work in a few domains. | For 1 year, he studied with Jean-Baptiste Senat, who is and will remain his mentor, then left for 4 years at Château in Cransac (Fronton) as head oenologist! On the spur of the moment - and on a whim - he bought a few hectares of old Carignan and Syrah in Villeneuve-Minervois, in the middle of the garrigue. At the age of 27, he set up on his own with only his convictions and his friendship with Jean-Baptiste Senat as his companions. His Winery, which he is gradually expanding (13ha), is certified organic in 2011. |
