We're talking to you about his Winery
The 26 ha of the Azienda Agricola Elisabetta Foradori are biodynamically cultivated and are probably among the finest wines in Italy. One term suits Foradori: class! And what about vinification of several months in amphora and long maturing? Awesome! The Dolomites are a mountain range in the north-east of Italy. It was there that Elisabetta Foradori decided, quite young, to take over the family Winery after studying viticulture-oenology in the neighbouring village. At the age of 19, she took over from her father with all the freedom of enterprise and a great desire to achieve something without really knowing if it was worth the effort. | In 1984, when Elisabetta began this great adventure, the fashion was to plant international grape varieties such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. She then asked herself a lot of questions, following the fashion or keeping the local varieties, Teroldego, Nosiola and Manzoni Bianco? The answer will obviously be not to follow fashion and to give pride of place to these marvellous grape varieties. |
