We're telling you about their Winery
Jean-Pascal SARNIN and Jean-Marie BERRUX are two sides of the same coin: inseparable and complementary. Their ideas of what the wines of this region (they are located in Monthelie) should be (they are located in Monthelie), that is to say as natural as possible, converge. Negotiators since 2007 and sensitive to the notion of environmental protection, therefore of the soil and the plant, they have been running around the Saint-Romain region to buy their grapes certified organic or biodynamic, or even in conversion. These two jack-of-all-trades do not scatter with their 12 vintages and remain consistent in the special touch they give to their wines. | A work without complacency, at the time of the harvest, in pierced crates, delicately pressed and above all vinified without sulphur, makes it possible to obtain juices of great finesse, marked by a great minerality. The whites are, depending on the appellation, generally taut and really fresh to a salty aspect. The reds, light and sweet, are a real delight of fruity, floral and airy purity. Maturing for up to 12 months on the lees brings fatness and depth. These are astonishing, refreshing and digestible Burgundies. And a Winery that is part of the revival of the region! Note their Grenache and Syrah vintages, vinified S-B style! |
