The Winery of Romain Le Bars

A disciple of Eric Pfifferling (L'Anglore)

After 7 years with the Pfifferlings, Romain le Bars set up his own business in 2018 with a little more than a hectare of vines in Tavel.
At this time, he continues to work as a farm worker at Winery de l'Anglore and at the same time manages the harvest of his own newly acquired Grenache and Syrah vines (April 2018). The winemaking is done in his garage, on the side, but not without control! His first vintage is an absolute success with two cuvées, a Tavel and a Vin de France, which are immediately noticed by connoisseurs.

Natural wines, without inputs

Low yields, manual harvest, little or no intervention in the cellar (low dose of SO2), this is the DNA of Romain's wines. The vinification is done in carbonic maceration, with direct pressing. The wines are then aged in barrels of several wines. 

Wines without added sulfur, with a lot of freshness

In the vein of Pfifferling's vintages, the wines are infused, pure and bring out the fruit as well as floral notes, all with controlled acidities bringing a freshness that goes so well with the wines of the region!
Since 2019, Romain is fully dedicated to his Winery which he has been able to expand (10 hectares today), diversifying at the same time theGrape varieties of Winery. He also left his garage to make his wine in a cellar of 200 square meters.
Beware with Le Bars, the bar will be high; here is a future great name of Tavel wines!
