Savagnin En Bois d'Arnaux 2020 (Maceration) - Côtes du Jura - Valentin Morel
From young vines planted in 2015 on the "en Bois d'Arnaux" plot. A one-month maceration of Savagnin and Savagnin rose from a Triassic marl terroir, aged for 2 years in barrels.
The nose is discreet after opening (you can, must decant), citrus notes of orange (zest), the maceration also gives us smoky notes. An orange wine with enormous energy. On the palate, still full of energy, there are some super-fine tannins and fruit. As is often the case with quality orange wines, there's a citrus finish and some lovely bitters!
