We're telling you about their Winery
Terre de l'Elu is the Winery of Charlotte and Thomas Carsin in the heart of the Layon Valley. The entire Winery is located on the terroirs ofblack Anjou, this part of Anjou located at the eastern end of the Armorican Massif: a schistous base which disappears under the Parisian basin, bearing volcanic soils, pebbles like sandstone, quartz... The vineyards of Winery cover 20 hectares and are spread over 6 blocks (groups of plots) around the village. The methods used by Thomas and Charlotte reflect their passion: no synthetic products in their grassed vineyards, ploughing with a light tractor, gravity work in the cellar, foot treading and slow pressing. Watching the team work in their cellar gives off a cheerful atmosphere of schoolboys and girls. |
Thomas Carsin is not a first experience: an agricultural engineer, he has made several wine trips to California and has worked in a champagne Winery where he has a great mastery of bubbles! Charlotte, his wife, joined him full time and passed her professional baccalaureate! She is everywhere: in the vineyard, in the cellar and works in communication. We have the pleasure of co-creating 2 exclusive cuvées: Spirit of Grolleau and Charmant Chenin, a 100% Charlotte cuvée! |
