Choosing the right natural orange wine
What is an orange wine?
This is a white maceration wine. In other words, the white grape is macerated with the juice, skin and seeds. It then macerates for a few days to a few weeks. This gives it an orange color.
What are the contrasts between plain orange wine and plain red wine?
Red wine is made from red grapes, generally with more or less pronounced tannins. Orange wine, on the other hand, comes from white grapes, with greater sweetness. It has more complex aromas and more acidity. However, its tannins are not as pronounced as those of a plain red wine.
What are the differences between natural orange wine and classic orange wine?
Vin Orange Nature and Vin Orange Classique share the same initial winemaking process, but their differences lie in their agricultural practices. Vin orange nature contains no additives or synthetic chemicals. Unlike classic orange wines, which tolerate inputs.
What's more, there's a certain philosophy behind natural orange wines, reflected in the winemakers' desire to pay particular attention to soil health and biodiversity.
How do you drink natural orange wine?
Orange wine has an intense taste, more gourmand than white wine. It's a perfect accompaniment to any meal, whether it's a sauce, a world dish or a cheese dessert.
If you prefer natural white or red wines, we've got a great selection for you!
