Lelarge-Pugeot: a viticulture focused on harmony
Located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot embodies a respectful and innovative approach to Champagne viticulture. This family-run Winery , whose origins date back to the XVIIIᵉ century, has been committed to a biodynamic approach since 2010. This philosophy is based on harmony between vines, soils and surrounding ecosystems, banishing chemical inputs to make way for natural, sustainable practices. On 8.7 hectares, spread mainly around the Premier Cru village of Vrigny, each plot is carefully cultivated, promoting biodiversity and soil vitality.
Champagne's traditional grape varieties - Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay - are meticulously worked to express the full potential of their unique terroir. Hand-picking ensures that grapes reach optimum ripeness, while biodynamic techniques, such as the use of natural preparations and composting, enhance the health of the vines and the purity of the harvest. This close link with nature is reflected in the authentic, vibrant champagnes with great aromatic depth.
Lelarge-Pugeot: lively, elegant champagnes
Lelarge-Pugeot champagnes are distinguished by their unique character, and their ability to appeal to enlightened wine lovers and neophytes alike. The pure, non-dosed cuvées seduce with their freshness and minerality, while the vintage champagnes offer a complex aromatic palette, marked by notes of ripe fruit, brioche and white flowers. Each bottle tells a story, the story of a preserved terroir and a know-how handed down through generations.
With a wide range of champagnes, from blanc de blancs to blends dominated by Pinot Meunier, Lelarge-Pugeot celebrates the diversity and boldness of Champagne wines. The Winery website, certified organic and biodynamic, takes a contemporary and sustainable approach, while honoring the region's heritage.
Food and wine pairing: elegance at the table
Thanks to their finesse and structure, Lelarge-Pugeot champagnes lend themselves to refined gastronomic pairings. The extra-brut cuvées, with their vivacity and freshness, sublimate seafood such as oysters or sea bass ceviche. Vintage champagnes, rich and complex, elegantly accompany characterful dishes such as roast lobster, truffled poularde or mushroom risotto. The Blanc de Blancs, marked by their minerality and precision, pair perfectly with noble fish or soft cheeses such as Brie de Meaux. To round off the meal, a lightly-dosed cuvée will brighten up a citrus dessert or lemon tart. With Lelarge-Pugeot, every meal becomes a unique taste experience, where the bubbles reveal and magnify the flavors.
