We're talking to you about his Winery
With a little over 10 hectares to his credit today, spread over Monthou-sur-Bièvre and the Cher valley, Olivier Lemasson is above all looking for great "drinkability" in his wines, without extraction, to encourage the fruit to take flight and most often in carbonic maceration for 15 to 30 days. Trained as a sommelier, Olivier Lemasson first worked for a few great restaurants, but the idea of having to shave every morning quickly bored him. So he went to Eric Macé, one of the first wine merchants in Rennes to be awarded the "vin nature" label, which gives him a taste for good things. Totally bitten by these wines, Olivier goes in search of knowledge at Marcel Lapierre's where he harvests for 4 years, then spends a whole year between the vines and the cellar. | A brief return to the profession of wine merchant in Paris and in 2002 he launched himself and Hervé Villemade into the adventure of wine trading. Les Vins Contés " was born. To earn a living, he worked for a while at Hervé's Winery and the rest of the time, he launched his own business. In 2006, each of them went his own way, Olivier continued the adventure alone and took over two hectares in the Touraine appellation. Right from the start, he buys grapes from winegrowers who care about the soil, all of them organic or in conversion, the sine qua non condition for his winemaking method. |
