We're talking to you about his Winery
The Pueyo Vineyards are 8.5 hectares of organic vineyards in the Libourne area (west of Bordeaux), on poor soils that allow the Bordeaux kings' grape varieties (mainly Merlot here) to ripen well. Great Bordeaux wines with juice, suppleness and good length on the palate. This small Winery, for the Bordeaux region, sees the arrival of Christophe Pueyo (5th generation) in 2010 to join his uncle. From 2010, the way of doing things in the vineyards and in the winemaking process is completely reviewed to listen and understand nature at its best. The march towards organic certification is on the way: working the land, no pesticides. | This work continues in the winery: no inputs, natural yeasts (obviously), filtration if necessary. The 'Bordeaux' wine is vinified and matured in vats only (stainless steel and concrete), its big brother, the 'Saint-Emilion Grand Cru', is vinified in vats and matured in 50% barrels (not new) and 50% vats. The result is extremely pleasing, red wines with supple and fine tannins and fresh black fruits. We are delighted to present this fine work to you. |
