We're telling you about their Winery

Camille and Mathias Marquet, who live in Sigoulès in the Périgord, are "neo-vignerons", as they say! After studies and professional experiences far from the world of wine, they both finally did the BTS viti-oeno de Bordeaux, off-beat, because Camille had just come out of psycho, and then they took over the vines of Mathias' grandfather in fermage. It had skipped a generation, that of his parents, but they had kept the vines. So, they started in 2008 immediately in organic and then in biodynamics a few years later.

Situated at the confluence of the Dordogne, Lot and Gironde rivers, the vineyards are in the south of the Bergerac appellation. On the 13 ha, 3 types of terroirs are clearly identifiable through the wines made there: silty clay, north-facing clay-limestone hillsides and flinty limestone. And all these vines grow in the middle of a diversified environment with the presence of polyculture (breeding, cereals, market gardening).

Camille and Mathias insist that their winemaking method is simple: 100% grapes! More precisely, this means indigenous yeasts, no added inputs. They mainly seek the truth of the vintage and the terroir for each cuvée. Very little filtration, very little sulphur, in short, straightforward and lively wines, marked by their birthplace!
